Let's take a drive off the map
to the edge of the sky
Where the sun and the moon
Let's take a dive off a cliff,
walk the edge of a high
And I will change --
change your mind...
If I told you I would be on my way
Would you travel south
Never to break apart
Never to break a heart...
I wake up to that scene playing in my head
I rewind I rewind
The look upon your face and all the things we said
I rewind I rewind
But in the light of day it vanishes again
I rewind I rewind...
Our tale begins
The day he up and left her
She couldn't see how it would end
Back here again
Still more than friends
Apart won’t do
Roads lead to you
Razor Jane is an alt-pop artist and producer from Boston raised on 90s grunge and 70s pop. Her new EP, "Don't Look Down," co-produced with Jeanine Cowen, reflects the salty and sweet, dark and light, of those genres. Razor Jane can crank up her Marshall amp, beat on her Les Paul, but when all is said and done, she loves a good pop melody. A songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Razor Jane contributes guitars, charango, bass, vocals, and programming to the tracks on Don't Look Down. She has co-directed the music videos for "Head Lice" and "Don't Look Down" and is currently working on a third music video.
Smokey the American Hairless Terrier, born "Flinthill's Smoke and Mirrors," is a retired Grand Champion show dog who spent his early years being shown on the United Kennel Club circuit. He was born and raised in South Carolina and then moved to his adopted family's home outside of Boston in 2008. Smokey's favorite treats are bananas, cheese, and dog cookies.
For the filming of "Rewind," every trick was done with a simple "wait" command. Razor Jane would show him a little piece of banana, say, "Wait," and then position herself behind the actress he was interacting with or across the room, or down the street. When RJ said, "Smokey here!" Smokey would walk or run to get the little treat.
Even though Smokey appears to be scolded by the girl in the video, he was never actually scolded during filming. In fact, if you watch the video, you will notice that his ears are always nice and perky, indicating that he is paying attention (perhaps in anticipation of the banana -- see above). If he were actually being scolded, his ears would flatten down on his head and his face would look guilty.
